Devineni Uma to hold deeksha in support of Amaravati farmers today; cops deny permission
Former TDP minister Devineni Umamaheswara Rao on Wednesday is getting ready to hold deeksha in support of Amaravati farmers on the occasion of their protest completing 400 days. The farmers have been staging agitation opposing decentralisation of the AP capital. Devineni Uma decided to sit on deeksha in the TDP office in Gollapudi. But the Vijayawada police have denied permission for deeksha citing Section 144 and 30 are in place. Sangam Dairy Chairman and former TDP MLA Dhulipalla Narendra Kumar and other TDP leaders would be sitting in deeksha along with Devineni Uma.
