No entry for women devotees into this temple in Andhra Pradesh

Here is a temple where women were not allowed into the temple premises to offer prayers to the god. The temple is located in Tippayapalli, Kadapa district, Andhra Pradesh. According to the reports, only male devotees will allow entering into the Sanjeevarayuni temple and female devotees need to offer prayers from outside the entrance of the temple. According to the local legend, once an old erected the idol and offered daily rituals to the god and he didn't allow the women to offer prayers. Later, he disclosed how to worship the god to villagers and disappeared and from then the villagers following his rules and procedures to offer prayers. A fest will celebrate every year on the occasion of Sankranti.
