Senior journalist Turlapati Kutumba Rao passed away
Senior journalist Turlapati Kutumba Rao passed away at the age of 87 in a private hospital due to heart attack. Turlapati offered his services as a journalist for more than sixty years. His wife Krishna Kumara, a dance died long back. Turlapati worked with eminent personalities like Nanduri Ram Mohan Rao, Narla Venkateshwara Rao, and Puranam Subrahmanya Sarma. He started his career as a sub-editor in Vaahini journal. He worked for Praja Partika started by Tanguturi Prakasam Pantulu. Later, he took part in social work under the guidance of Dr Chalapati Rao. After that, in 1963 he joined Andhra Jyothy daily started by Narla Venkateshwar Rao.
