02-01-2021 Sat 11:28
Endowments Minister Vellampalli Srinivasa Rao said that the Rama idol in the Ramatheertham temple was vandalised in an attempt to destabilise the AP government. He stated on Saturday that opposition leader and TDP national president N Chandrababu Naidu has no right to visit the temple as he has no faith and reverence towards Hindu gods and temples. To a question, Vellampalli mentioned that Jana Sena president Pawan Kalyan had blamed Hindus for communal violence prior to the 2019 elections. The minister said that stern action will be taken against those involved in damaging the idol.
