Somu Veerraju flays Chandrababu for demanding referendum on Amaravati
AP BJP president Somu Veerraju on Saturday flayed opposition leader and TDP national president N Chandrababu Naidu for demanding a referendum on Amaravati. Speaking to the media, Veerraju asked Chandrababu whether he is ready for a referendum regarding Rs 7,200 crore given by the Centre for the construction of capital in Amaravati. The BJP chief sought a referendum on the development of Rayalaseema. “In the last 60 years, political parties which were in power did not implement the Sribagh agreement and neglected development in the Rayalaseema region,” he mentioned. Veerraju threw a referendum challenge to the YSRCP and TDP asking to contest again for 51 assembly seats in Rayalaseema.
