BJP stages protest demanding to construct razed 27 temples in Vijayawada
The BJP cadre led by state president Somu Veerraju staged a protest at Prakasam Barrage in Vijayawada on Wednesday, demanding the YSRCP government to construct 27 temples that were demolished by the previous TDP government for widening roads during the Krishna Pushkaralu in 2016. Speaking to the media, Veerraju alleged that the AP government is providing funds for the construction of mosques and churches. The BJP chief sought the resignation of Endowments Minister Vellampalli Srinivas for saying the state government would construct dargahs. He also demanded TDP national president N Chandrababu Naidu give an answer for demolishing temples during his rule.
