Bharat Bandh: CM Jagan calls for peaceful protests till afternoon
All-India strike call given by farmer union groups on Tuesday opposing new farm laws is peaceful in Andhra Pradesh. Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has suggested farmers’ organisations and political parties hold protests till afternoon. The AP government directed the closure of all educational institutions on Tuesday. The RTC buses will not ply on roads till noon. However, government offices are allowed to open afternoon. Meanwhile, Left parties and their affiliate unions sat in front of bus stations in support of farmers. CPM state secretary Madhu demanded the Central government to withdraw farm laws immediately.
