The AP Assembly has passed a resolution empowering the state government to take a decision on conducting elections to local bodies. On the last day of the winter Assembly session, Deputy Chief Minister Alla Nani moved the resolution and the same was supported by Legislative Affairs Minister Buggana Rajendranath. Accordingly, an ordinance will be passed by making amendments to the AP Panchayat Raj Act.
