BJP keen to field Jana Reddy’s son in Nagarjunasagar byelection

Buoyed by its impressive show in the GHMC elections, the BJP has now focused its attention on byelection to the Nagarjunasagar assembly constituency. The seat fell vacant with the demise of TRS MLA Nomula Narsimhaiah. According to sources, the Telangana BJP leadership is keen to field senior Congress leader and former minister K Jana Reddy’s son Raghuveer Reddy in the Nagarjunasagar byelection. Jana Reddy has been inactive in the Congress for the last few months. Even, the BJP promised to give a prominent role to Jana Reddy in national politics, it is learnt.
