03-12-2020 Thu 10:47
The Interpol has issued a global alert to law enforcement agencies across 194 member countries stating that the organised crime networks could be targeting Covid-19 vaccines. They even mentioned that there is a threat to the coronavirus vaccine both physically and in cyberspace as there can be a falsification of vaccines, theft, illegal advertising of the Covid-19 vaccine. This comes just as the UK being the first country to approve the Pfizer-BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine and many other companies very close to the approvals of the vaccine. The Interpol has also mentioned that there will be a need for coordination between the law enforcement agencies and health regulatory bodies to ensure the safety of the wellbeing of the communities.
