TDP holds protest near Assembly over sand scarcity in AP

The TDP MLAs and MLCs led by opposition leader N Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday staged a protest with construction equipment near the Legislative Assembly over sand scarcity in Andhra Pradesh. TDP AP president Atchannaidu demanded the AP government to announce a free sand policy. He made the YSRCP government responsible for the suicides of sixty construction workers due to lack of work. Atchannaidu alleged that the Jagan government has created an artificial scarcity of sand. TDP MLA Gorantla Buchchaiah Chowdary alleged that the YSRCP leaders illegally earned Rs 5,000 crore from sand mining and distribution.
