Senior Congress leader Ahmed Patel dies of multiple organ failure

Senior Congress leader and Rajya Sabha MP Ahmed Patel passed away due to multiple organ failure at a private hospital in Gurgaon at 3:30 am on Wednesday. He was admitted to the hospital a month ago after he tested positive for the novel and deadly coronavirus. His son Faisal Patel has confirmed his death through a tweet. The 71-year-old leader was one of the top political advisers to AICC President Sonia Gandhi. Patel was elected to the Lok Sabha for three terms and Rajya Sabha member from Gujarat since 1993.
