We don't see Hindu-Muslim in marriages we see only major or minor: High court verdict in UP

A Muslim person Salamat Ansari, a resident of UP, and Hindu girl Priyanka Kharwar got married against their parents' wishes in August last year. Priyanka converted to Islam and changed her name to Alia just before their wedding. The parents of Priyanka Kharwar have filed a court case alleging that the marriage was performed after abducting their daughter and added that their daughter was a minor. They have filed FIR based on the POCSO Act (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act).However, the Allahabad High Court said, they did not see Priyanka, Salamat as Hindu-Muslim and clarified that they know whether they are major or minor. The court has passed an order in favour of the couple.
