YSRCP officially announces Dr Gurumurthy as Tirupati LS byelection candidate

The YSRCP on Friday officially announced Dr Gurumurthy as the candidate for the Tirupati Lok Sabha byelection. Gurumurthy is a physiotherapist by profession. The election necessitated for the Tirupati parliamentary constituency as sitting MP Balli Durgaprasad Rao had succumbed to the coronavirus. Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has promised the MLC seat to Balli Durgaprasad Rao’s son Kalyan Chakravarthy, said Minister for Municipal Administration Botsa Satyanarayana. Family members of Durgaprasad stated that they will strive for the victory of the YSRCP candidate selected by the chief minister for the Tirupati bypoll.
