AP govt signing MoU with Central agencies for sand mining: Peddireddi

Minister for Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Peddireddi Ramachandra Reddy said that the AP government is entering into an agreement with the National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) and MSDC for handing over sand reaches across the state. Speaking to the media, he condemned the allegations of TDP national president N Chandrababu Naidu. “We are not handing over sand reaches to individual persons,” he pointed out. The minister alleged that the TDP leaders pocketed thousands of crores by selling sand in the previous Chandrababu rule. Deputy Chief Minister K Narayanaswamy and MLAs were present.
