At least 11 Pakistan Army soldiers including an SSG commando was killed on Friday in retaliatory firing by the Indian Army in response to ceasefire violations from across the LoC. Indian Army used Spike missiles, acquired from Israel, to destroy Pakistani bunkers.
The range of a Spike missile is 2 to 5 km and India bought 240 from Israel as part of an emergency deal. The Spike, an anti-guided missile, is effective in hitting a target with precision. This can also be used for direct firing to bust terrorist hideouts.
