Dubbaka Bypoll : Siddipet CP Joel Davis reacts on MP Bandi Sanjay comments
DUBBAKA: Tension triggered in Dubbaka constituency after police conducted raids at BJP leader Raghunandan Rao's relatives' house and seized Rs 18.37 lakh. BJP leaders alleged police kept the money at their houses and Bandi Sanjay demanding the suspension of CI. Speaking to the media, Siddipet CI Joel Davis said yesterday they received information that political party leaders trying to distribute money to voters of Dubbaka constituency ahead of by-poll. He said after preliminary examination, different executive magistrates conducted raids at different houses in Dubbaka. He added they found Rs 18.67 lakh in a cupboard at Surabhi Anjan Rao's residence. Anjan Rao said a person named Jethendra Rao sent the money to him through his car driver, said Joel Davis. He said Anjan Rao is a close relative of BJP candidate Raghunandan Rao. He said they will release the video released to the raids. Reacting to Bandi Sanjay comments. CI Joel Davis said that yesterday MP Bandi Sanjay called him and he narrated the situation, snatching of the seized money. He said that MP Bandi Sanjay said he will not visit the constituency but he tried to visit the constituency. He said after getting the information, he stopped Bandi Sanjay at outskirts as a preventive measure and sent him to Karimnagar.
