Amaravati farmers: Minister Appalaraju defends Dy CM Dharmana’s comments
Minister S Appalaraju has defended the comments made by Deputy Chief Minister Dharmana Krishna Das on Amaravati farmers. Dharmana termed farmers staging the protest in support of Amaravati capital as paid artists. Speaking to the media, Appalaraju has asked TDP MP Rammohan Naidu, MLA Atchannaidu, MLC Nara Lokesh and TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu to accept the challenge thrown by Dharmana. “I am also ready to resign if any TDP MLA or MP wants to contest in North Andhra against him opposing Visakhapatnam as an executive capital,” he stated. The minister slammed the TDP leader Kuna Ravikumar for criticising Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
