Minister KTR interacts with women at display of Bathukamma saris

Minister K Taraka Rama Rao on Tuesday interacted with women during the display of Bathukamma saris in Hyderabad. He stated that Handlooms and Textiles Director Shailaja Ramaiyer took special care and ensured more than one crore Bathukamma saris are weaved with 285 designs by powerloom weavers of Telangana.
The minister mentioned that powerlooms were upgraded for producing high quality saris. He also interacted with women, who came from various districts, and asked them about the quality of saris. A woman informed KTR that women will be ready to buy if each sari is sold for Rs 400 to 500.
