Two Telugu states representatives to join apex council meeting on Oct 6th
To resolve the disputes between both Telugu states about the sharing of waters of Krishna and Godavari rivers, the Union Jal Shakthi Ministry has proposed to hold the Apex Council Meeting with AP and Telangana Chief Ministers on October 6th. It has sought the response from the Chief Ministers of both states. The meeting was supposed to be held last month, but the Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat was found infected with the coronavirus, and it got postponed. The meeting has gained significance as both state governments have leveled allegations against each other with complaints and counter complaints to the Krishna River Management Board and Godavari River Management Board about irrigation projects in both states.
