Hyderabad: Flood alert for river Musi
HYDERABAD: Due to the heavy rains, the water levels in the two reservoirs of Hyderabad reached brim levels and the officials sounded flood alert for Musi river. According to the reports, the officials are likely to release excess water from Himayat Sagar and Osman Sagar and the flood water will pass through the city and inundate the low lying areas. GHMC alerted all deputy commissioners and zonal commissioners of Golconda, Bahadurpura, Nampally, Asif Nagar, Himayath Nagar, Charminar and Saidabad to be alert. Hyderabad Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar shared a video and alerted the people of Hyderabad over floods and he took to Twitter and tweeted as "ALERT MESSAGE: Due to heavy rains in the catchment areas of Musi River flash flood may come after midnight. It is better to be alert in the low lying areas on Musi Bank like Kishanbagh, Ziaguda, Puranapul, MGBS, Chaderghat, Golnaka. Parents must prevent children from going there."
