ACB registers case in Amaravati land scam, to probe insider trading

Based on the SIT report, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Tuesday registered a case against insider trading of lands in Amaravati. The cabinet sub-committee also confirmed irregularities in massive purchase of lands in the capital region. According to sources, names of the former chief minister and his cabinet colleagues were included in the case.
In the Lok Sabha too, the YSRCP MPs would be demanding the Central government to order for a CBI probe into the Amaravati land scam. The ruling AP government has been alleging insider trading in the purchase of 4,069 acres in Amaravati.
