Road widening poses threat to Lepakshi temple, GVL writes to CM Jagan

BJP official spokesperson and Rajya Sabha MP GVL Narasimha Rao wrote a letter to Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy urging him to protect heritage sites, especially Basavanna temple located at Lepakshi village in Anantapur district. He brought to the notice of the chief minister that road widening works taken up from Proddatur in Kadapa district to Kodikonda check post in Anantapur district via Pulivendula, Kadiri, and Gorantla are posing threat to ancient temples. He informed the CM that the local YSRCP leaders are exerting pressure on officials concerned for early completion of road expansion works.
