Hyd student shares experience of winning gold medal for India at Mental Calculation World C’ship
Neelkantha Bhanu Prakash, a student of Mathematics at Delhi’s St Stephen's College, holds the world record for being the fastest human calculator. The student from Hyderabad has won the first gold medal for India at the Mental Calculation World Championship at the Mind Sports Olympiad held in London recently. Neelkantha said that India is the first country to win the gold medal from Asia at the Mind Sports Olympiad. He mentioned that no country in Asia has won a gold medal in the last 23 years. “I am on a mission to make children love mathematics and get over their Maths phobia,” he added.
