NEW DELHI: Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi launched the National Digital Health Mission today on the occasion of 74th Independence Day. Addressing the nation from historic Red Fort, PM Modi said that every citizen in the nation will get an id card and it will contain the medical information of the person. The card will be used to avail health services and medicines. PM Modi said that the launched National Digital Health Mission will bring a revolution of the Indian health sector.

Prime Minister added that the information from a person's doctor's appointment to medicines will be recorded in the health profile which is very confidential. He added that doctors can access the data for a limited period. This will comes under Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana. Click the video for more information.
