AF objects to 'undue negative' portrayal in Janhvi Kapoor's 'Gunjan Saxena', writes to CBFC

The Indian Air Force (IAF) has objected to screening the film 'Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl.'

It has written a letter to the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), alleging that some of the film's scenes have been featured in a negative light. The content of the letter also mentions about the gender bias in the institutional work culture at the IAF.

The movie, based on the true-life story of IAF officer Gunjan Saxena showcased her participation in the 1999 Kargil war.

It was released on streaming platform Netflix on Wednesday.
