Water war continues between two Telugu states

The two Telugu states continue to fight with each other over water sharing issue. Telangana state has questioned the AP government over the status of the Rayalaseema lift irrigation. In contrast, the AP government has faulted the Telangana government over the production of Srisailam Water power. Both states have been blaming each other over the Krishna river water sharing issue.

AP government releasing a GO 203 has become the subject of dispute between the two Telugu states. The Union government has intervened in the matter and said that the apex council would be set up to deal with the water dispute between the two states.
