Covid-19: Serum Institute caps proposed vaccine price at Rs.225/dose

Serum Institute of India said that the doses of Oxford vaccine 'Covishield' ceiling price has been fixed at Rs 225/dose. The world’s largest manufacturer of the vaccine, i.e., Serum, said it is possible to make a deal of $150 million with Gavi, The Vaccine Alliance. Serum Institute has also established its partnership with Oxford University-Astra Zeneca for manufacturing the corona vaccine in India.
Pune based Serum said it was founded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF). It is hoped that Serum institutes will be able to provide up to two billion doses of vaccines by the mid or end of 2021.
