Son performs last rites of revolutionary balladeer Vangapandu with a song

The last rites of the revolutionary writer and eminent singer Vangapandu Prasada Rao was performed by his son and his close followers. Vangapandu’s son and others who attended the last rites have sung his famous folk song ‘Em pillado eldamostava.’ Rao died of ill-health at his residence in Pedabondapalli village in Vizianagaram district. The 77-year-old survived by wife, three sons, and a daughter. Jana Sena chief and other political leaders have condoled the death of Vangapandu. His hundreds of folk songs have highlighted the various aspects of Dalits and tribals.
