Amaravati farmers angry over AP police behaviour
The police cordoned off the villages in Amaravati after the Governor gave assent for three-capitals and CRDA repeal Bills on Friday. Cops in large numbers were posted in every village fearing that their protests may turn violent. Farmers, who gave their lands for Amaravati capital, have been protesting for the last 228 days opposing three capitals for Andhra Pradesh. A farmer came down heavily on the AP government and other political parties like BJP, CPM, and CPI for cheating them. He stated that farmers gave fertile lands believing that their region would witness development.
