Centre fails to resolve water disputes between Telugu states: CM KCR

HYDERABAD: Telangana chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao said that the government is not ready to lose even a single drop of water that belongs to the state. A review meeting conducted at Pragathi Bhavan over a letter written by Union Jal Shakti Secretary UP Singh to seek the government's opinion about proposed Apex Council meeting to sort out the river water disputes between the Telangana and Andhra Pradesh on 5th August. CM KCR said that the date suggested by the Centre is coinciding with other government works on the same day which is scheduled earlier.

The government decided to seek permission to postpone the meeting and most probably after Independence Day. Reports said that the CM KCR expressed dismay over the part played by the Ministry in solving the water disputes between Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Click the video for more information.
