Fake social media followers racket: Police likely to question Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra

MUMBAI: A few days ago Mumbai police busted a racket of selling the fake followers, likes and comments on social media for users including celebrities. On Wednesday, police arrested another person involving in the scam by running a website to sell the fake followers to the social media users. Reports said that the accused Kashif Mansoor owns a website AVMSMM to sell the fake followers. Mansoor is a civil engineer who sold nearly 2.33 crore fake followers from the past few months.

Reports said that the police likely to question Bollywood celebrities Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra in the fake followers' case. The scam came into the light after singer Bhoomi Trivedi filed a complaint at Bangur Nagar police station alleging some person created a profile on her name using her pics to trap others.
