The Oxford vaccine could be made available in India by November. According to the reports, the vaccine shows promising results after conducting clinical trials on some of the volunteers. The Serum Institute of India, which partners with UK researchers, is hopeful of a bright future. There are reports from Indian firms that the cost of the vaccine will ultimately Rs 1,000.
Adar Poonawala, the chief of the Serum Institute of India, told media that the clinical trials' results are encouraging. He said after following the necessary health norms by August month ending, the third trial on 5000 volunteers would begin. He has made it clear that by November, the vaccine will be ready if everything goes well. He has predicted that by June next year, the vaccine may be available.
