Hyderabad NIMS gears up for Coronavirus trials

HYDERABAD: The Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences is getting ready for Coronavirus vaccine human trials. According to the sources, Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) and Bharath Biotech International Limited (BBIL) developing an indigenous Coronavirus vaccine and recently got permission for clinical trials on humans. ICMR selected 12 institutes across the nation for clinical trials.

ICMR wrote a letter to NIMS asking to fast track all the approvals related to permitting the vaccine trials .ICMR asked the institutes to give top priority to the project amid the Coronavirus pandemic. If all goes well, Telangana is the first in the country for successfully conducting clinical trials on humans. Click the video for more information
