Rajya Sabha polls will be conducted at AP Assembly today

Arrangements were made for conducting polls to the four Rajya Sabha seats at AP Legislative Assembly on Friday. Polling became mandatory as five candidates are contesting for four RS seats. The polling process will continue from 9 am to 4 pm. Officials of the Assembly will begin counting at 5 pm and results will be announced at 6 pm. The YSRCP’s Rajya Sabha nominees are ministers Mopidevi Venkataramana, Pilli Subhash Chandra Bose, industrialist Alla Ayodhya Rami Reddy and Parimal D. Nathwani, close associate of Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani. The TDP fielded Varla Ramaiah as its candidate. The YSRCP winning four RS seats is almost confirmed.
