Police and protesters clash amid unrest across USA

A week after George Floyd's death at the hands of Minneapolis police, protests surge across the USA and in Washington DC. Protesters are demanding justice for George Floyd. Thousands have marched through the streets of Chicago city.
Major cities including New York, Washington and Los Angeles have imposed curfews and deployed the National Guards to ease the crowds. Police pushed back protesters outside the White House precinct in Washington DC by using tear gas moments before US President Donald Trump addressed the nation and walked to St John’s Church holding Bible for a photo-op.
