AP govt to challenge HC verdict on Nimmagadda Ramesh in Supreme Court

The AP government is getting ready to move to the Supreme Court against the High Court verdict of striking down the ordinance issued to reduce the tenure of the State Election Commissioner. Reduction of tenure had resulted in Nimmagadda Ramesh losing the SEC post.
The state government will file a petition in the Apex Court after getting the full report of the judgement copy. Officials concerned are holding consultations with the senior lawyers of the Supreme Court. According to sources, the AP government has expected that the High Court verdict will not be in their favour.
