An advocate Varalakshmi has filed a writ petition in the High Court on Wednesday opposing the state government’s GO of providing 75 per cent reservation to locals.
The High Court asked the AP government as to whether the GO was issued by taking the Constitution into the consideration. Advocate-General (A-G) S Sriram has sought the High Court to give time for submitting AP government’s counter reply. The High Court gave one month time for the state government to file the counter affidavit. Quota for locals was an election promise of the YSRCP.
