Central govt to operate 64 flights to bring back NRIs

The Central government is making arrangements to bring back Indians from abroad, who were stuck due to lockdown. Air India and Air India Express will operate 64 flights from May 7 to May 13 to airlift 14,800 Indians from 12 countries. They are UK, USA, UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Bangladesh, Bahrain, Kuwait and Oman.The Centre will send 15 flights from Kerala, 11 each from Tamil Nadu and Delhi, seven each from Maharashtra and Telangana and another five from other states. Meanwhile, the cost of each ticket from the UK to India is fixed as Rs 50,000.
