Indian Railways announces 6 'Shramik Special' trains to migrant workers
NEW DELHI: Amidst lockdown crisis, the Central government gave a green signal to run special trains for migrant workers, students, tourists and others who are stranded across the nation during the pandemic. According to the sources, the Centre asked the state governments to contact the Railway department. Reports said that the Railway authorities issued orders for all zonal managers regarding the issue. The Centre also ordered the state governments to monitor the people who are travelling in the trains till they reach their states. The six Shramik special trains run between Lingampally to Hatia, Aluva to Bhubaneswar, Nasik to Lucknow, Jaipur to Patna, Kota to Hatia and Nasik to Bhopal. Click the video for more information.
