The Visa holders have sought to extend their permissible post-job loss limit to stay in the US from the present 60 to 180 days. A massive lay-off is reportedly inevitable as the situation is getting worse due to coronavirus crisis. Reports suggest that H-1B workers have a 60-day grace period of unemployment; otherwise, they have to leave the country.
