Hyderabad Metro Rail is extending up to Shamshabad Airport in the second phase. The State government has already started working on the proposal to provide Metro Rail connectivity to Shamshabad Airport(Rajiv Gandhi International Airport). Metro Rail MD NVS Reddy, while speaking to a media channel said, it is a great feeling to see the completion of the first phase of the metro project in Hyderabad. He said DPR has been prepared for phase 2. He said, it will stretch by 31 km to the International airport from Rayadurgam via outer ring road. NVS Reddy said another stretch of 26 km from Miyapore to BHEL via old Mumbai highway and connecting it to Lakdi-Ka-Pool is on the pipeline.
