Cong leader Ahmed Patel received Rs 400 crore through hawala from AP: I-T, gets second notice

According to the Income Tax department, senior Congress leader Ahmed Patel had received Rs 400 crore through hawala from Andhra Pradesh via Karnataka during previous elections. The huge cash was arranged by a construction company in Amaravati. The I-T officials got evidence of sending money through hawala to Ahmed Patel. He did not respond to the first notice served by the I-T. For second notice, Ahmed said that he is suffering from breathing related issues and joined hospital so that he cannot appear before them.
