The AP government speeded up capital shifting works after Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday and Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday in Delhi. In the meeting with Amit Shah, the chief minister assured him that he will stay 70 days in Amaravati. Now, the response of the Central government will be crucial. Jagan has also urged Amit Shah to instruct the Law Ministry to take up proceedings of scrapping the AP Legislative Council and setting up judicial capital in Kurnool.
