Virat Kohli breaks MS Dhoni's world record

India has defeated Australia to clinch the One-Day International series. India won the match at Bengaluru's Chinnaswamy Stadium by seven wickets. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli scoring 119 and 89 respectively paved the way for India's win. In the ongoing three-match ODI series, Virat Kohli has broken the former Cricket captain MS Dhoni’s world record of fastest to score 5000 runs by a skipper in ODI cricket. MS Dhoni scored 5000 runs as skipper in 127 innings but Kohli achieved the feat in just 82 innings.

Rohith Sharma became the third-fastest batsman to reach 9000 ODI runs.
