Bail Granted to JC Diwakar Reddy After 7 Hours High Drama Prevailed in PS
Former Anantapur TDP MP J.C. Diwakar Reddy, who was accused of making derogatory remarks against the police personnel at a party meeting in Anantapur on December 18, was granted conditional bail from a local court in Anantapur on Saturday. There was a high drama near the Anantapur rural police station after the senior TDP leader was forced to stay in the police station for some hours. Some of the senior TDP leaders and party activists have shouted slogans against the ruling government over the said move. One of the TDP activists tried to pour petrol at him, and the move was prevented by the Police. Later around 7 pm, former TDP MP was granted conditional bail from the local court. JC hs accused the state government's move as political. TDP president Chandrababu has also faulted the high handedness of the police.
