Andhra Pradesh State Municipal Administration Minister Botsa Satyanarayana said in the Assembly that there were no plans to shift the capital but changed statement on Saturday. The minister said a decision on where to set up the state capital will be decided based on an expert committee report. The minister further said that they can only tell about the capital city after the expert committee submits its report. YSRCP MP Vijaya Sai Reddy and the government chief whip Srikanth Reddy have also defended stating that the state government appointing a committee, headed by retired IAS officer G Nageswara Rao will give suggestions on the state capital region. Now, the suspense remains as the CM Jagan is yet to give clarity on this aspect.
