Engineering students apply for sanitary workers posts
In a shocking incident, seven thousand graduates including engineers have applied for 549 sanitary workers posts in Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation (CCMC). It is found that most of the applicants are over-qualified for the job. A person told that he had completed Engineering in a private college but couldn't get a job in his field. He added that he is searching for a government job and so applied for the post. This is not the first time but happened many a times. The government is aware of this, both the state and centre are not ready to accept that there is job crisis in the country. It is very sad part to see that the graduates have applied for sanitary works. One of the reasons for the graduates applying for this post is the pay scale which is around 15 to 20,000.
