After hearing arguments on Public Interest Litigation petition filed by Prof PL Vishweshwar Rao, the High Court gave stay on Telangana government’s decision to give permits to 5,100 private buses in specified routes and posted the next hearing to Monday. The petitioner said that the State government has no right to give permits to private buses when TSRTC doesn’t exist. The High Court asked the Advocate General to submit the cabinet decision on allowing private buses to run in specified routes in a sealed cover.
