Chandrayaan 2: Hopes fading as window of opportunity to relink with lander closing in
The hopes of India's Chandrayaan-2 mission are fading as far as the opportunity to restore the link with 'Vikram' lander is concerned. As ISRO now has just over a week to spring Vikram back to life, the chances are bleak as the ISRO is unable to establish contact with the lander. ISRO officials have opined that due to hard-landing of Vikram on the Lunar surface, the inside mechanism was reportedly disturbed and predicted that it may not have the right orientation (to receive signals).
